HKCEC’s new appointments reflect commitment to service excellence

(Hong Kong, 6 January 2011)     Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd (HML) announces recent appointments of two senior management positions within the operations division.  Miss Jessica Wong has been promoted to the position of Event Planning and Co-ordination Manager and Miss Katherine Tang has taken up a new role as Operations Planning and Co-ordination Manager.  HML is the private and professional management and operating company for the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

Miss Wong, as head of the Event Planning & Co-ordination Department, leads a team of Event Managers to give professional advice on event planning to exhibition, major convention and special event organisers and contractors, and liaise with internal teams to provide efficient logistics and technical support, security and housekeeping services.  Miss Wong maintains good communication links with clients to ensure their requirements are effectively met.  At the same time, she needs to explain HML’s operation policies and rules to ensure compliance.  Miss Wong joined HML in 1989 and was previously the deputy head of the department.

Operations Planning and Co-ordination Manager is a newly created position to reflect HML’s commitment in service standard enhancement and environmental initiatives.  Miss Tang’s new responsibility is to evaluate customers’ feedback, identify service gaps and develop new policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and performance standard.  She also takes proactive steps to cultivate and promote environmental awareness within HML, and recommend measures for management consideration.  Miss Tang was Event Planning & Co-ordination Manager prior to the new position.  She joined HML in 1992.
