HKCEC welcomes Asia’s largest attractions event for 2012
(Hong Kong, 26 April, 2011) The Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd (HML) is proud to announce the return of Asian Attractions Expo to the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 5th to 8th June 2012.
Asian Attractions Expo, the largest conference and trade exhibition for the attractions industry in Asia, is held annually in different cities in the region and organised by the renowned International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), headquartered in the USA. More than 200 suppliers of park facilities and software are expected to exhibit while over 4,500 senior management of theme parks and attractions in the region are expected to engage in discussions and experience sharing sessions.
Ms Monica Lee-Müller, Deputy Managing Director of HML, says, “Our partnership with IAAPA dated back to 2000 when IAAPA first held Asian Attractions Expo at the HKCEC. I’m most delighted that IAAPA has selected the HKCEC again for 2012. It will be the fourth time for this prestigious event to be held in Hong Kong and at the HKCEC. At HML, it is our strategy to introduce world class exhibitions and conventions to broaden our business portfolio. We are happy to work with colleagues in Hong Kong Tourism Board and other IAAPA members in Hong Kong to bid for such international event. IAAPA is of particular significance as it supports an increasingly important element of the tourism industry in Hong Kong, as well as the region.”
Mr Robert Rippy, Chairman of IAAPA, says, “Hong Kong’s first-rate convention facilities and accommodations, accessibility from around the world, and proximity to numerous world-class attractions, make this amazing destination an ideal location for Asian Attractions Expo 2012. The spacious and well configured facilities and professional services make the HKCEC the natural choice for the expanding event. I’m confident our exhibitors and attractions leaders from around the world will enjoy the experience of visiting Hong Kong and the success of a quality conference and exhibition.”
