Central - Wan Chai Bypass and Island Eastern Corridor Link
The new Central-Wanchai Bypass & Island East Corridor Link construction by HKSAR Government is currently underway along the north shoreline of Hong Kong Island. Preliminary work has begun in mid 2010 and the project is targeted to complete by 2017. For details, please refer to the HKSAR Highways Department website.
In this regard, a series of construction works have been scheduled to occur around HKCEC, including the relocation of chiller pump system piping, and ultimately bridge relocation and reclamation of the water channel between Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the HKCEC for road and MTR tunnelling.
As the various stages of work is continuously subject to change, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd. (HML) is working very closely with the HKSARG appointed project teams to minimise inconvenience to users and visitors of HKCEC.
