Planning for expansion
The HKCEC expansion project is now underway and we've fixed some of the key dates for expansion. Some events at the Centre will be affected by the expansion, so run your eyes over the brief outline of changes below and take these details into account when you're planning your event.

The three Atriums at the Centre will all form part of the expansion. Atriums 2 and 3 will be out of use from mid March 2007 to the completion date. Atrium 1 is available for use until end May 2007. Its floor size is reduced and therefore any exhibition use for this area for any purpose other than public circulation will also be subject to HKCEC approval.

Other areas that will require special HKCEC approval for exhibition-related activities from mid March 2007 will include the Concourses to Halls 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7, and Mezzanines 1 and 2.

Changes to visitor access (including new pedestrian access routes and escalators being taken out of service) will be made to minimise inconvenience as the expansion takes shape. All new access ways will be clearly signposted.
