From 24 to 27 August, Hall 1 of the HKCEC hosted
the Hong Kong Computer & Communications Festival
2007, an exhibition which, as its name implies,
covers everything related to electronic and digital
information and communications. Over 450 exhibitors
displayed products and services that included computer
software & hardware, computer peripherals &
accessories, video cameras and digital cameras,
PDAs and MP3s, mobile phones, computer games, and
much more.
Hong Kong is one of the world's most 'wired'
cities so this kind of event was bound to draw
the crowds, and over the four days of the exhibition
over 350,000 visitors came to see and buy some
of the latest and most advanced computer and related
equipment. Organised by the Chamber of the Hong
Kong Computer Industry, the exhibition has been
running since 2004 and has established itself
as the largest exhibition focused on the IT industry
in the region. This year, its central themes included
'High Definition', and 'Digital Life', spotlighting
those areas of everyday life where the computer
revolution has transformed our daily activities
with innovative gadgets and software.
