In December
2003 the HKCEC became the first public venue in Hong Kong to adopt
the Event Business Management System (EBMS), a highly regarded electronic
administration package developed by Ungerboeck Systems International
and now in use around the world at numerous top-level venues. EBMS
integrates and streamlines all aspects of venue and event management,
leading to reduced daily administration time, simpler staff training
procedures, and generally increased efficiency. The system covers
everything from booking, sales and marketing, event co-ordination,
accounting, and analysis, and is designed to eliminate the need
for periodic software upgrades and regular reconfiguration. We hope
customers will begin to see some of the practical benefits of the
system soon.
