In a world in which global public security is under the spotlight like never before, the Air&Port Security Expo Asia provided a timely opportunity for professionals in the industry to share the latest developments in security. Exhibition space for the show was snapped up at the HKCEC, where this brand new event debuted from 1-2 June with 65 exhibitors from 13 countries. They attracted buyers from a wide range of security-related industries, including airports and airlines, ports and ferry operators, rail terminals and railway companies, as well as government agencies and law enforcement professionals. Although the Expo was particularly focused on regional security issues, it attracted a strong number of participants from further afield, including many from the USA and Germany. Over 1,000 visitors took advantage of this new security forum, with exhibitors reporting many important leads being generated. Expo organizer Simply Events said the event exceeded their expectations both in terms of visitor numbers and with regard to their quality.
