We're planning ahead so that you can plan ahead, and the news is all good! For 2006, once again the HKCEC has frozen its major rental rates besides offering a great range of special deals and incentives for new and returning exhibitions. For example, exhibitions scheduled in any of six months of 2006 can enjoy a 30% discount on rental rates (applicable to February, May, June, July, August and December). The same low-season discounts apply to conferences and conventions at the HKCEC using our Forum Package.

We're also continuing to provide top value deals for exhibitions and events that stay with us for two years or longer. For instance, exhibitions that commit to a two-year licence agreement with deposit payments for both years qualify for a 45% discount on standard rental rates for both years. Our Rebate Scheme is also going strong in 2006. Under the scheme, new exhibitions occupying over 2,000 sq m gross and committing to three consecutive shows on an annual or biennial basis receive 40% off the standard rental rates in the first year, and 20% and 10% off in the second and third years.

Good exhibitions find themselves growing over time, and at the HKCEC we take that into account and do our best to help that growth prosper. We make it easy for expanding exhibitions to make progressive booking of additional space over time, and we offer many flexible types of layouts to suit every kind of event. Large exhibitions (i.e. those using over 29,281 sq m of exhibition space) can also benefit from a 35% discount when they book additional hall space, a discount that is applicable for up to two years.
