Fine
Fashion Fair
|
World
Boutique is a premier fashion event dedicated to promoting
designers' collection and brand labels from around the world,
as well as fashion accessories such as watches, sunglasses,
fashion jewellery, belts, handbags and shoes. It also features
selected home fashion and lifestyle products and small gifts.
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and first
launched in 2003, it is rapidly establishing itself as a crucial
place to be seen for exhibitors and buyers alike. The last
show, in January 2004, attracted nearly 14,000 visitors to
exhibits by almost 200 exhibitors, and from 18 to 21 January
2005 the HKCEC is expecting once again to welcome boutique
buyers, department stores, fashion agents and distributors
from around the world, especially from the Mainland and around
Asia. It's an exciting event, full of cutting-edge people
and products, and runs simultaneously with the Hong Kong Fashion
Week for Fall/Winter 2005. With fashion shows, a Colour &
Fabric Trend Forum, and Fashion Market & Topical Seminar,
there's plenty to get involved with, and the fair has proved
an ideal place for anyone wanting to establish themselves
in the fashion industry in Asia or move into China.

TOC2005
Asia 15-17 March 2005
The
Future Shape of Shipping
|
It's
surely fitting that Hong Kong, one of the world's biggest
and most important shipping ports, should play host to TOC2005
Asia, the definitive meeting place for the world's shipping,
port and terminals industries. Organised by international
transportation industry information provider Informa Maritime
& Transport, TOC2005 Asia will follow on from 2003's highly
successful edition, where well over a thousand participants
attended the HKCEC to view the products and services of more
than fifty international port and terminal service providers,
suppliers and operators. In 2005 the fair, with the TOC Asia
Conference once again being held alongside, will run from
15 to 17 March, and should attract representatives from shipping
lines, port authorities, terminal operators and government
bodies, shippers, stevedores, and other interest groups. The
fair will of course offer the traditional range of maritime
hardware such as cables, cranes, gantries and ro-ro equipment.
But this is an industry where the electronics revolution is
quickly making its mark, and the fair will also feature such
developments as Automated Guided Vehicles, GPS technology,
and IT systems. In today's huge and economically crucial port
and shipping industries, TOC2005 Asia will be providing
the ideal occasion for players at every level to make their
mark.
