2007: A Year of Great Expectations
 |
| The HKCEC has been voted
the Best Convention and Exhibition Centre in the Asia
Pacific. Receiving the award is Monica Lee-Müller,
HKCEC Deputy Managing Director (top right), and representatives
from the marketing and sales team. |
Here at the HKCEC we're brimming with high expectations for
the coming twelve months. We've just enjoyed a dynamic year
in which two major trade exhibitions were successfully held
for the first time at the HKCEC: Decosit HKG and MIPIM
Asia. These prestigious exhibitions have become recurrent
events at the HKCEC, with their second editions being held
in March and November this year respectively, while the organiser
of Vinexpo Asia-Pacific, the region's biggest wine
and spirits exhibition, has confirmed a return to the HKCEC
in May 2008.
It's always a highlight to us when we attract brand new shows
to Hong Kong, and this year we're excited to be hosting four
new trade exhibitions from a diverse range of industries.
They include Rail Solutions Asia, a show bringing together
the world's top railway suppliers to serve a high-potential
industry in the region. Another launching at the HKCEC for
the first time is Hong Kong Mode Lingerie, a professional
bodywear trade exhibition aimed specifically at Asian women.
In November, Taiwan's largest amusement and gaming machine
show will be coming to Hong Kong for the first time with GTI
Asia EXPO. And in July, Messe Frankfurt will be launching
Senior Lifestyle Asia, a landmark exhibition for businesses
to showcase products and services targeting older people and
those preparing for retirement.
These are all excellent additions to the HKCEC's diversified
exhibition portfolio. We will welcome each one with our usual
levels of enthusiasm and commitment, determined to offer organisers
and visitors alike the finest and most professional exhibition
environment in Asia. That's why the HKCEC is now hosting some
of the biggest and best trade shows in Asia and the world!
Recently, the HKCEC was voted the "Best Convention
and Exhibition Centre in Asia Pacific" in the 2007
Reader's Choice Awards survey conducted by CEI Asia Pacific
magazine. To live up to this lofty accolade, we'll continue
with our creative marketing strategies and dedicated efforts
in business development, fully committed to providing top
class value-for-money service to clients and users.
